RE: LP Tank Cover

I made my own. :0 I sliced my normal cover long ways and added a piano hinge & a white door swipe from home depot as a trip piece to cover my cut. I also separated it in 1/2 as well by drilling out the rivets and using nuts & bolts. I have a bike rack on the front and I needed to do something to get at my tanks with out removing it. It was easy and works great.

RE: Got my new tires!!! Question about pressures.

And does the back end of a X weigh more than the front when empty, or am I missing something?
The back of my Ex weighs about 75lbs more then the front when empty - thanks.

RE: Got my new tires!!! Question about pressures.

I have the transforce tires on my Excursion and I have been very happy with them. I run the fronts at 70psi & the rear at 80psi. 99.9% of the time the Excursion is driven it has the TT hooked up so I dont bother adjusting them for an empty load. During the winter when I drive the Excursion empty I adjust the pressure to 50psi frt & 65psi rear.

RE: Directv setup at delaware seashore state park

No problem, I was getting my Philadelphia locals all the way down in Cherrystone VA, about 250 miles. Delaware park will be no problem.

RE: Jersey shore in April

Most of the Jersey Shore CG's go from Mid april to Mid Oct, some open as late as May and close the first weekend in Oct. I find it strange being that I was on my deck in shorts last Thanksgiving. You had better call in advance.

RE: Rockwood 8317SS versus Spree 324BH

Love my 8317SS, it has been a great trailer. The TW on the 8317SS is advertised at 850ish but after you are loaded and hooked up you will be pushing 1100 lbs easy.

RE: outback loft

Well looking at the specs you will not be able to haul many Toys, Dry weight 6795 and a GVWR of 7800 doesnt leave much room to carry your toys & your camping gear. Hitch RV has one in Williamstown NJ, I walked in it and it was nice but they need to do something about the CCC.

RE: New Jersey RV.Net Members - Let's introduce ourselves

I have a PC delivery scheduled for tomorrow down in Woodbury, so I think I'll drive down today and spend the night at Timberlane CG in Clarksboro...any other campground suggestions for this area? This is the southwest Jersey area. Gloucester/Salem County...
Might be a little late now but for next time there is a CG in Washington Township / Sewell area called Kandle Lake. http://www.lakekandle.com/
It is a nice CG with a swim club and a huge lake. It is Christian CG so no adult beverages are allowed (wink..wink)Also no pets allowed. Nice pull through sites.

RE: Tow vehicles

Well the GCWR of the V-10 X with 3.73 is 17,000lbs, you will be pushing that with the trailer you selected. The V-10 with 4.30's & the diesel jumps to 20,000 GCWR. Just a FYI.

RE: Another Bike Rack Question!

I did the fron Rec mount for the bikes and it worked okay, the only problem was blocking the headlights and when I wanted to carry the Generator I had a storage problem. Now I use the top pop rails rack and love it. Yes it is pricey $$ but it works so well it is worth every penny. The bikes ar easy to put up and down they secure very tightly and the rack is rock solid. I can see the bikes in my rear view at any moment and they do not interfere with any lighting like the frt rack. If I need to carry my Generator & the bikes at the same time it is very easy now.

RE: bottom of screen and dogs

I did the plexi-glass method mounted on the inside with Velcro. It has been 2 seasons so far and it still looks good as new. If it does get scratched I will splurge and spend the $10 for a new piece. :)

RE: What kind of TT would you suggest?

So you want 3 slides in a TT? There are not too many TT's that I know of with 3 slides. You could look att he Cherokee 28B+ it has 2 slides in the bunk area and one in the living area.
Chances are pretty good that any TT with either dual slides or 3 slides if you find one will not be towable with your Escalade. Maybe you should think 5th wheel or park model if you want the room but wont be towing it.

RE: Jayco Eagle 324bhds compared to 314bhds

I like the 324 better then the 314. I like the U-Dinette and the center Ent center. The extra door in the bathroom is nice also. The extra bunk in the kids room above the Ent center is a nice option also.
